Looking forward to seeing you next week!

Here is a little look at one of the fun activities ready for us to play with on Monday.

If I said "do you want to build a snowman?" Can you work out what it is?

See you soon.

Golden Children

Congratulations to Matthew and Connor

Matthew has taken our new "Challenge card" seriously over these last couple of weeks. He has been proud of his achievements when he has succeeded in what he set out to do. Well done Matthew

I am really pleased with Connor's enthusiasm for learning. He is always one of the first to work out our daily maths problem. I'm so proud of you Connor!

Big Talk

This week Big Talk is going to be based on the learning this half term. To help you remember, look back at the weekly slideshows and photo of the week.

This is one of my favourite activities from this half term-

Alex and Mason making their own puddles to jump in

Tell your grown up what you've enjoyed the most this term.

Our week

This week has been so lovely.
We've been able to make the most of the glorious weather and used the tubes and funnels in the water outside. We made our own apparatus to explore where water flowed when it was poured into a tube.
We've been collecting sticks this week too, we had a go at putting them in size order, some of us tried to measure them with a tape measure.
The fairies haven't been around much. On Thursday we received a letter from Will Wizard. He had them captured in his tree trunk house! Fortunately, he let them go after we had made him a new cloak, crown and wand.
We were delighted to find lots of gold fairy glitter around the classroom on Friday morning, it meant the fairies were back.

Have a look at the slideshow.

Big Talk

Here is the new picture to talk about with your family.
I would like you to think of sentences which include some super wow words to describe what you can see.

Our exciting week

As you already know, some fairies are visiting our class. We were astonished to hear that Mrs Critchley had managed to take a photo of them on Thursday night.

Here is our weekly slideshow. Look out for puddle jumping, mirror box and mobilio masks and belts.

An email from Mrs Critchley

This morning I was surprised to receive an email from Mrs Critchley about the fairies in FS2.
This is what she wrote and the photograph she sent;

Hello Mrs Warner and FS2,
I was very excited by your fairy doorway when I visited your classroom today. I haven't seen a fairy since I was a little girl, so I decided to visit your classroom when everyone had gone home. It was very quiet and I hid behind the easel and waited. After a short while I heard some very small voices, they were so quiet I couldn't tell what they were saying. I peeped over the easel and there was a little boy fairy appearing from behind the door, and a bigger girl fairy about to fly around the room. I put my camera on zoom and managed to get one photo, but they heard the click and disappeared in a little tiny flash.
I hope they came back after I went and left another message for you,
Mrs Critchley

Isn't this an incredible thing to see? So, this is what Sam and Sally look like!
I wonder if we might see them again next week, I hope so.

Big Talk

Following our theme of faries and wizards, I thought this would make a super illustration to look at.
Think about what you can see.
Who lives behind the door, could it be a fairy or wizard?
What do they look like?
Where is this place?

Have you ever seen a fairy?

Our week

We've had some lovely sunshine this week. We've spent time in the new mud kitchen making pies and buns. On Friday afternoon, FS1 and FS2 enjoyed playing together.
Have a look at the slide show and watch out for the ladybird, fun in FS1, missing numbers in the maths area, making caves in the large construction and writing sentences in the writing area.

Golden children

Well done Rhys and Jared

Rhys has a fantastic attitude towards school. He's always on hand to help and loves  to try out all the new activities we have in class. I really enjoy having Rhys in my class.

I don't think I've ever met someone quite so determined as Jared. When Jared sets his mind to something, he doesn't stop until it's finished. What as fabulous quality to have.
