This week in FS2
We've enjoyed reading more books about Elmer and making a colourful weave.
The weather was beautiful earlier this week, so we've made the most of it. Look out for the house Summer created and the water games with foam and guttering.
Sports Afternoon was a great success on Monday, photos will follow. Thank you to all our families for coming along to share the fun. A special thank you to the parents for being good sports and taking part in the 'Grown up' race at end. The children loved it!!!

Goodbye butterflies
We did such a good job of looking after the butterflies, they were strong enough to leave today.
It was such a lovely warm, sunny morning, so we let them go. At first they didn't leave the house but with a little bit of coaxing, they soon flew off into the nearby grass.

They look delicious!
The potatoes are in the pot boiling up, ready for a feast tomorrow.
I promise I won't eat them all.
Potatoes
We harvested the potatoes we've been growing since March today. We counted 42 potatoes in total from our two bags. I will boil them tonight and you can eat them tomorrow!

Butterfly news
As of this morning, two butterflies have emerged from their chrysalis. It was so exciting to see them. They have some food in their house and we will release them when they're strong enough to fly.

Congratulations to Robbie and Elisia
I have chosen Robbie this week because of his excellent motivation. On Monday he planned and organised an outdoor shop for everyone in FS2 to enjoy. Thank you Robbie.
Elisia continues to be one of my busy bees in class. She always has a go at new things on offer and has such a great attitude to learning. Keep it up Elisia

Big Talk
I would like you to talk about our caterpillars and tell your grown up what has happened since we started looking after them two weeks ago.
Here is a picture of how they look right now.
Can you remember what stage of development this is? What will happen next?
Exciting news!
Our caterpillars are now at the chrysalis stage of development. Over several more days they will emerge as butterflies and will be released into the wild.
Here is a close up of them.
